Independence Bank, headquartered in Owensboro, is continuing to grow its footprint across the Commonwealth, as they have announced an expansion to Logan County. Chad Hall, currently serving as President of the Bank’s McLean County market, has been chosen to lead the office in Russellville.
This development marks the 15th market for Independence Bank. In the last year, the financial institution added a second Louisville location and opened offices in both Lexington and Shelbyville.
Hall will serve a dual role and spend time between both the McLean and Logan county markets for the time being.
“Being able to return home is the fulfillment of a goal Jessica and I had set for our family,” Hall said. “I was overjoyed at the opportunity of introducing my hometown and all of Logan County to a community bank that values its clients and communities by prioritizing their needs, their values and their uniqueness. Independence Bank does this by providing excellent customer service every day.”
Hall added, “I have had the honor to work with the Bank’s most faithful clients and devoted communities. Much like McLean County, the Land of Logan is home to some of the Commonwealth’s finest individuals Many people within this community invested in me as a young man. I am grateful to return home and do the same.”
Since officially becoming known as Independence Bank in 1997, the Bank family has grown from 22 employees to more than 400. Total assets during that time have expanded from $40 million to $3.3 billion.
Last year, Independence Bank gave back more than $1.2 million to various charitable causes throughout its footprint to ensure basic needs were met.
“We give our time and resources by building beds, providing meals, and serving where there is a need,” said Independence Bank President Jacob Reid. “This is done all while making local decisions that are right for our communities. I have complete confidence in Chad. We’re happy to watch him continue his many successes in his hometown.”
Plans are underway to build a permanent location in Logan County. In the meantime, the Bank will operate out of a temporary space at the Forum Shops of Russellville, located at 115 Sam Walton Drive Suite 1. The hiring process has begun.
A community board is being formed to help drive growth and market direction.
Independence Bank is a regional community bank with 29 locations in Calloway, Daviess, Fayette, Franklin, Graves, Hancock, Henderson, Hopkins, Jefferson, Logan, McCracken, McLean, Shelby, Warren and Webster counties.
For 14 years, it has been ranked a “Best Place to Work” in Kentucky. This expansion comes amid American Banker Magazine listing Independence Bank among the “Best Banks to Work For” across the nation.
