Owensboro Innovation Academy held a cardboard boat race Thursday afternoon at the Owensboro YMCA. The event is part of the school’s “Nation Challenge,” where students compete throughout the year on various tasks and projects to earn points for their “nation,” leading to an eventual champion at the end of the year.
