Update, September 15 — A 23-year-old Owensboro man has been arrested for the shooting that sent one person to the hospital early Sunday morning, the Owensboro Police Department has announced.
Michael E. Hines has been charged with first-degree assault and four counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
Original story —The Owensboro Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning on West 7th Street. An adult male sustained non-life-threatening injuries and a home was also struck, according to OPD.
According to an OPD report, the shooting incident took place at approximately 12:21 a.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of West 7th Street.
Per the report, pending charges may include first-degree wanton endangerment and first-degree assault. The investigation is ongoing.
