OPD investigating Friday morning firearm discharge; home struck, no injuries reported

The Owensboro Police Department is investigating a Friday morning firearm discharge where a home on Sutherland Avenue was struck by bullets multiple times. No injuries were reported.

According to an OPD report, the shooting incident took place at approximately 3:30 a.m. Friday in the 900 block of Sutherland Avenue but was not reported until Sunday at approximately 1:39 p.m.

According to the report, eight bullet holes were found in the side of the house. Per the report, pending charges may include first-degree wanton endangerment and third-degree criminal mischief.
