In 1996, a group of business leaders created First United Bank to bring community banking back to western Kentucky. The bank entered the Owensboro market on Parrish Avenue in March 2021 and, after rapid success, added a second location on Frederica Street last week.
The bank continues to tap into new markets, supporting the communities they serve with the best possible products and services. Market President Scott Tooley said their roots remain in community banking even though they’ve grown.

Our location at 3012 West Parrish Avenue has been such a success; we quickly decided we needed a second location,” he said. “The opportunity to expand at 2800 Frederica Street was perfect; this location is in the heart of the city and will allow First United Bank to serve Daviess County better.”
The bank has assets of $500 million with locations in Madisonville, Beaver Dam, Earlington, Marion, and now, two locations in Owensboro, Kentucky, to better serve our communities.
