In 1996, a group of business leaders created First United Bank to bring community banking back to western Kentucky. The bank entered the Owensboro market on Parrish Avenue in March 2021 and, after rapid success, added a second location on Frederica Street last week.

The bank continues to tap into new markets, supporting the communities they serve with the best possible products and services. Market President Scott Tooley said their roots remain in community banking even though they’ve grown.

“Our customers know us; they call us by name and call on us, individually, when they need help,” Tooley said. “We help them start out in life with a first house, a first car, or even a first business. Or we save them from the arms of big banks and bring them home to personal service and a real relationship. This is what we were built to do; it is our purpose.”

Equally as crucial to the bank is supporting the quality of life and economics in its markets. Tooley said they accomplish this through hard work and volunteerism.

“Daviess County has greeted First United Bank with open arms. Our location at 3012 West Parrish Avenue has been such a success; we quickly decided we needed a second location,” he said. “The opportunity to expand at 2800 Frederica Street was perfect; this location is in the heart of the city and will allow First United Bank to serve Daviess County better.”

The bank has assets of $500 million with locations in Madisonville, Beaver Dam, Earlington, Marion, and now, two locations in Owensboro, Kentucky, to better serve our communities. The institution takes great pride in offering the latest products and services, constantly evolving with modern technology.

Locally, the bank has assembled a team with over 200 years of experience, many of whom are Owensboro natives.

“We live in the communities we serve,” Tooley said. “Our staff is our bank family, and we are proud to have every member. We employ only the best, well-trained bankers, ensuring our customer service is second to none.”

The bank is open Monday through Friday. For more information, visit www.efirstunitedbank.com or search First United Bank of Daviess County on Facebook.

“We look forward to serving the financial needs of Owensboro-Daviess County,” he said. “We are a community bank dedicated to your success.”
