A home on Haywood Court (near the southwest side of Horse Fork Creek Park) was struck by gunfire in late September but the incident was not reported until October 25, according to the Owensboro Police Department. No injuries were reported.
According to OPD, it is unknown exactly when the incident occurred but it is estimated to have taken place on Sept. 23 in the 3700 block of Haywood Court. OPD officials said they believe the damage to the home was caused by a single bullet.
The investigation is ongoing.
