OPD: Owensboro woman arrested after domestic incident where firearm was discharged

An Owensboro woman was arrested early Monday morning following an incident where a firearm was discharged near midnight at a home on Obryan Boulevard near Carter Road, according to the Owensboro Police Department.

According to OPD, one person was injured from an assault with hands during a domestic situation at approximately 11:36 p.m. Sunday in the 2500 block of Obryan Boulevard. A firearm was discharged but no one was hit. 

Sonnia Sinnett, 53, was arrested and lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center. She faces charges of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), first-degree wanton endangerment, and resisting arrest.
