The Owensboro Police Department is investigating a pair of shooting-related incidents where occupied homes were each shot multiple times Saturday.
According to OPD Public Information Officer Andrew Boggess, no one at either location was hit by a bullet but one person did have a minor injury related to the incident.
The first shooting incident took place at approximately 1:35 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of Orchard Street, according to OPD reports. Boggess said four people were in the home, which was struck multiple times by bullets.
The second incident took place at approximately 7:50 p.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of East Byers Avenue. Boggess said one person was in the home, which was shot four times.
Boggess said there is no indication the incidents are related but it has not been ruled out at this point. The investigation is ongoing.
