A 16-year-old male is facing several charges after a string of burglaries in which several thousand dollars worth of items were taken from local businesses, according to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a release, DCSO detectives were investigating a series of burglaries that occurred in the area of KY 54/Alvey Park Drive; at least one business affected was Valley Vapors.

DCSO officials said that with the public’s assistance, information was forwarded to the Sheriff’s Office with a possible identity of the suspect. Detectives located the suspect and interviewed him in reference to four burglaries.

The juvenile was ultimately charged with four counts each of third-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief due to the damage done to the buildings during the offenses.
