City surplus auction set for May 4

The City of Owensboro surplus auction will take place at 10 a.m. on May 4 at the Owensboro Sportscenter, featuring everything from bucket trucks and vehicles to backhoes and gators to jewelry and office equipment.

There will be two auction rings running concurrently. Small items will sell in the first hour. Major equipment, cars, trucks, and vehicles will be auctioned starting at approximately 11 a.m. All items sell “as-is, where-is” with no warranties. Pre-registration and inspection will be on May 3 from 12-2 p.m.

All items must be removed from inside the Sportscenter by 4 p.m. and the parking lot by 5 p.m on the day of the sale.

Surplus items will come from the City of Owensboro, Regional Water Resource Agency, Daviess County Public Schools, Owensboro Riverport Authority, Owensboro Metropolitan Planning Commission, Owensboro Municipal Utilities, and Daviess County Water District.

Cash, checks payable to the City of Owensboro, and Visa/Mastercard (2% additional fee) will be accepted.
