An Owensboro man and woman are facing charges related to sexually abusing a victim under 12 years old, according to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a release, on April 19 DCSO Sgt. Kelsey Skaggs was investigating a case of sexual abuse of a victim under 12 years of age that has occurred over a period of time. After an in-depth investigation, forensic interview of the child, and interviews of the suspects, Skaggs charged Billy J. Blake, 35, and Brianna Young, 32.
Blake and Young both face three counts of first-degree sodomy of a victim under 12 years of age (complicity). Blake and Young are currently lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center.
“The investigation revealed this was an ongoing abuse perpetrated by both suspects,” according to DCSO.
The investigation is still ongoing.
