A five-person panel, including State Rep. DJ Johnson, will be held to discuss Kentucky’s new medical cannabis law on April 25 at Kentucky Wesleyan College.
The event is free and open to the public and will take place on April 25 from 7-8 p.m. at the Jack T. Wells Activity Center. The event will be hosted by KWC’s Stanley Reed Political Science and Pre-Law Club.
Senate Bill 47 was recently signed into law by Gov. Andy Beshear, legalizing the use of medical cannabis for a predetermined set of conditions. A brief question-and-answer period will follow the discussion on the topic.
Panelists are Dr. Don Stacy (radiation oncologist); Daniel Sosh (veteran and cannabis advocate); Johnson (District 13 Representative); and Julie Cantwell and Kristin Wilcox (Kentucky Moms for Medical Cannabis Advisory Committee board members).
