One person died from injuries in an accident involving a motorcycle early Friday morning, according to the Owensboro Police Department.
Officials said in a release that at approximately 1:29 a.m. OPD responded to the 500 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Loop in reference to a single-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle. The Owensboro Fire Department and AMR responded to assist.
The operator of the motorcycle, a 40-year-old male, died from his injuries. His identity has not yet been released.
The OPD Accident Reconstruction Team responded to investigate the collision.
