Update: Two McLean County women still missing after trip to Owensboro Saturday; phone last pinged in Webster Co.

Update, 6 p.m. – According to Kimbra Payne, Regina’s daughter, the Webster County Police Department last pinged Regina’s phone at 2:07 a.m. in Webster County. The 2010 Toyota Highlander is black, with no identifying stickers or tags.

McLean County 911 reports Regina Payne, 59, and Bonnie Mayes, 80, from Calhoun, ventured to the Owensboro Sonic on July 22 before going missing. Officials say their last known location was at 12:02 a.m. at Sonic.

According to authorities, the two departed from Riverside Manor in Calhoun, KY, in a 2010 Toyota Highlander KY plate 278NHM and were supposed to return after the short trip.

Local deputies, fire departments, and citizens are actively searching for Mayes and Payne. Officials advise anyone who sees the vehicle or individuals to call the Owensboro Police Department at 270-687-8888, McLean County dispatch at 270-273-3551, or 911.

OPD and McLean County had nothing to report at 10:40 a.m. on Sunday, July 23. OPD is actively leading the case and has alerted surrounding law enforcement agencies to be on high alert.

Payne’s daughter and Mayes’s grandaughter, Kimbra, said the family has been in contact with OPD and Kentucky State Police, but they still have no leads.

In Kentucky, there are no silver alerts, which in some states are reserved for missing senior citizens. Kentucky typically only issues gold alerts, which require a cognitive disability to be issued.
