Three men have been arrested for a shooting that took place while two vehicles were traveling on the Audubon Parkway on July 23, according to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office. The driver of one vehicle was shot in the incident but had non-life-threatening injuries.

According to a release, DCSO arrested three suspects on August 31 for their involvement in the incident: Nolan William Rhys Herrera, 22; Gavin Patrick Santiago-Ewers, 21; and Jarek Miguel Olvera, 22. All three were charged with first-degree assault, a Class B felony punishable by 10-20 years in prison.

During that incident, the victim, who was traveling to Owensboro on the parkway, stated that an unknown vehicle came up beside him, passing and then slowing down several times. He said several gunshots were then fired from the vehicle, striking him and his vehicle prior to speeding away. He was able to drive to a gas station on the corner of Tamarack Road and Carter Road to call 911, according to DCSO.
