Two people were transported to the hospital with what appears to be non-life-threatening injuries after a car drove into the side of La Veracruzana on New Hartford Road, according to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.
DCSO reported when deputies arrived on the scene, they witnessed a mother and her child pressed against the interior wall by the car. The Daviess County Fire Department helped prepare the mother and child to be transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital’s Emergency Room.
DCSO reported that the uninjured driver claims he believed he was in reverse but he was in drive.
DCSO said they are en route to OHRH and will update should the injuries appear to be more severe.
