In addition to a single local race, voters will have a chance to elect state officials — most notably the Kentucky governor — in the General Election on November 7. Here’s what to know about the local voting process, from a sample ballot to where and when to vote.

The only local race is for the City Commission seat to fill the remainder of the term for the late Larry Maglinger. Sharon NeSmith, Jerry Ray Davis, and Titus Willis are the three candidates for the nonpartisan seat.
Here’s what to know about the voting process in Daviess County:
Absentee Ballots
Absentee ballot requests will be processed through October 24. The deadline to apply online for an absentee ballot is October 24 at 11:59 p.m. EST. To register for absentee, click here. Voters must select an eligible reason they are unable to appear at the polls on Election Day. The drop box for absentee ballots will be located in Room 107 at the Daviess County Clerk’s Office.
In-person absentee voting is scheduled for October 25–November 1. Again, voters must have an eligible reason to participate.
Early voting
Early voting will occur November 2-4 at the Owensboro Sportscenter from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Early Voting is open to all registered voters in Daviess County, with no excuse needed.

Voters are able to cast their ballot at any of the following locations. Similar to past years, precincts are no longer used for voting.

- St. Martin’s Parish Hall – 5856 Highway 81, Rome
- Masonville Baptist Church – 6601 US 231, Masonville
