The City of Owensboro Parks & Recreation Department is inviting the community to attend their choice of two Master Plan public meetings on October 17 and 18. The Master Plan is an effort to implement improvements, resources, and priorities for the future of the City’s parks and recreation amenities, programs, and services.

Berry Dunn McNeil & Parker, LLC (Berry Dunn) has been working with the department since February on the Master Plan.

“The public meetings offer an opportunity for residents to share valuable input on what they believe is important for their community parks, and to hear from staff on what information has been collected so far through the Master Plan process,” according to a release from the City.

First meeting:

  • Date: October 17
  • Time: 6-7 p.m.
  • Location: Parks & Recreation Administrative Center, 1530 McJohnson Avenue

Second meeting:

  • Date: October 18
  • Time: 5-6 p.m.
  • Location: Dugan Best Recreation Center, 1003 Omega Street
