Three juveniles have been arrested following a Sunday morning incident at the intersection of Orchard and West 7th Street where onlookers informed officers that a juvenile male possessed a handgun and pointed it at another juvenile, according to the Owensboro Police Department.
Through the investigation, officers determined that three male juveniles were together and in possession of firearms, according to a release. OPD seized two handguns, one of which had an extended 30-round magazine.
Officers transported the three juveniles to OPD for questioning before taking them to the Warren County Regional Juvenile Detention Center.
Juvenile #1 (16 years old of Owensboro) faces the following charges:
• Possession of a Handgun by a Minor, 2nd Offense
Juvenile #1 has previously been charged with the following:
• Receiving Stolen Property (Firearm)
• Possession of a Handgun by a Minor, 1st Offense
• Burglary 2nd Degree
• Terroristic Threatening 2nd Degree
Juvenile #2 (16 years old of Beaver Dam) faces the following charges:
• Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree
• Possession of a Handgun by a Minor, 1st Offense
• Menacing
Juvenile #2 has previously been charged with the following:
• Assault 4th Degree (Minor Injury)
• Shoplifting Under $500
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Juvenile #3 (15 years old of Owensboro) faces the following charges:
• Possession of a Handgun by a Minor, 1st Offense
• Resisting Arrest
