Owensboro Health has reactivated a masking requirement at their Owensboro and Muhlenberg hospitals after admissions hit 23 over a 7-day period. The requirement is in effect for the next week. The Twin Lakes hospital in Leitchfield is still mask-optional.
According to OH Marketing Director Brian Hamby, “Anything over 20 triggers a masking requirement under our current policy. Many of these admissions may not be COVID-related, but we are required to report any positive tests to the CDC.”
Any visitors coming into OHRH or OHMCH will be required to mask.
Owensboro Health will re-evaluate admissions data each Monday and will make any masking changes the following Tuesday.
