Several family-oriented events will be held in the coming weeks at the Edge Ice Center, including skating with the Grinch and Santa, an Elf on a Shelf scavenger hunt, and a glow-in-the-dark party on New Year’s Eve.
WHOVILLE SKATE
Join the Grinch and Santa at the Whoville Skate on from 4-6:30 p.m. on December 9. Admission is $7 per person and includes skate rental and hot chocolate.
ELF ON A SHELF
The Elf on a Shelf Scavenger Hunt will take place during the Holiday Skating Sessions, set for 1-3:30 p.m. daily from December 18-23. Attendees who find all of the elves will be eligible for prizes. A different hunt will be offered daily with different prizes given out. Admission is $7 per person and includes skate rental.
UGLY SWEATER CHRISTMAS PARTY
The inaugural Ugly Christmas Sweater Party will be from 7-9:30 p.m. on December 23. All attendees wearing their finest (or worst) Christmas sweaters will receive a party gift bag full of discounts and coupons to the Edge Ice Center, while supplies last.
HOLIDAY PUBLIC SESSIONS
Extra public sessions are scheduled for December 26-31. Afternoon and evening sessions will take place daily Monday-Friday. Afternoon session times are 1-3:30 p.m. daily, while evening sessions are Monday- Thursday from 7-9:30 p.m. Families of 4 are eligible for a discounted family rate of $20, which includes skate rental, during the afternoon sessions December 18-22 and the evening sessions December 26-29.
GLOW-IN-THE-DARK NEW YEAR’S EVE BASH
The annual Glow-in-the-Dark New Year’s Eve Bash will include a live DJ, glow sticks, and party favors at midnight. Event hours are 10 p.m.-12:30 a.m. Admission is $15 per person and includes skate rental. The Edge will be open on New Year’s Day from 1-3:30 p.m.
