White Lightning Liquors, located on the west side of Owensboro, announced via social media this week that the store will be closing.
A post made to the White Lightning Facebook and Instagram pages reads:
Hey guys, I’m sorry to have been silent for so long, but I’ve taken some time away completely, and it has been amazing. As you may, or may not have seen, we are officially closing the store, but we are going to have one last hurrah this Saturday, December 16th. I will be in from 11am- sell out time. We will be trying to liquidate the products as well as some of the signage and paintings and displays. We can’t wait to see you guys, and get some big loving hugs. Please pass this on to your friends, and let them know it’s only one day. Thank you guys. See you soon.
A handwritten note taped to the business door reads, “Thank you for seven amazing years of love.”
The business is located a 3196 West Parrish Avenue near the bypass.
