The order that names will appear on the 2024 Primary Election ballot for Owensboro’s mayoral and city commission races has been set. Here’s what to know about the primary, plus bios on each of the candidates.
The ballot order was determined by a random draw Thursday afternoon at the Daviess County Courthouse. The Primary Election will be held on May 21. The last day to register to vote is April 22. To register to vote, click here or visit to the Daviess County Courthouse.
There are currently 5 candidates vying for the mayoral seat; the primary will narrow the field down to 2. Voters will only cast a vote for 1 candidate in the primary.
There are currently 9 candidates running for a seat on the city commission; the primary will narrow that field to 8. Voters can cast a vote for up to 4 candidates in the primary.
