DJ Johnson is seeking reelection to his seat as state representative of Kentucky’s 13th District, which covers the entire City of Owensboro limits and much of eastern Daviess County.

“I’m equally proud of the work we’re doing in Frankfort, but we’re far from finished. I humbly ask my community to send me back to keep fighting for the hardworking men and women who live here,” Johnson said.

Johnson currently serves as co-chair of the legislature’s public pension oversight board. He leads efforts to address the state’s public pension liability and manage existing funds for retirees and taxpayers.

Some of Johnson’s recent accomplishments include the creation of a second family court judgeship to serve Daviess County and making the GED more accessible for those unable to complete traditional high school graduation.

Other committees he serves on include the Budge Review Subcommittee on General Government; House Committees on Appropriations and Revenue; Natural Resources and Energy; State Government; and Veterans, Military Affairs, and Public Protection.

“Serving my community in the Kentucky House is one of the greatest privileges of my life and I appreciate the faith my constituents place in me,” Johnson said.
