Daviess County Sheriff’s Office reported an accident with injuries at the Jones Road and Hwy 144 intersection and has closed the road for the foreseeable hour.
The level of injuries is not yet known. Accident reconstruction is on the scene currently.
DSCO said they expect long delays until the roadway opens and ask drivers to take alternate routes.
Update 2:46 p.m.: – DCSO reports a 2-vehicle collision with injuries at KY-144 and 1389. As a pick-up truck was attempting to cross the intersection of KY-144 from southbound HWY-1389 to southbound Jones Road, it crossed the path of a car.
The driver of the car had to be extricated from their vehicle and transported to Owensboro Health by AMR. They remain in critical condition. The 3 occupants of the truck were not injured, and officers reported no indication of intoxication.
DCSO said accident reconstruction remains ongoing.
