The trial for a man charged with a 2019 homicide has been set for this May.
Talen Johnson, now 23, of Owensboro, will be tried for the shooting death of 18-year-old Hopkinsville native Kevin D. White. Johnson was 18 at the time of the shooting, which took place in March 2019. Johnson was charged with murder and first-degree burglary in June 2019.
The trial is scheduled to begin on May 3 in the courtroom of Circuit Judge Jay Wethington.
A trial was initially scheduled for September 2021 but it has been postponed multiple times.
