Nelly, with opening act Chingy, is performing in Beaver Dam later this year.

The Beaver Dam Amphitheater announced the addition of the iconic rappers to its First United Bank and Trust 2024 Concert Series. They will take the stage on August 31 at 7 p.m., with gates opening at 5:30.

A ticket presale begins at 9 a.m. Wednesday. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 9 a.m. Friday. Visit BeaverDamAmp.com for additional information, including a new seating chart, specific concert details, and FAQ.

Nelly has 3 Grammy Awards, 4 American Music Awards, 9 Billboard Music Awards, 2 MTV Video Music Awards, 3 Soul Train Music Awards, 2 BET Awards, and a long list of additional acknowledgments.

“Nelly is one of the biggest and most prominent acts we’ve ever presented at The Dam and certainly one of the most celebrated artists ever performing in our region,” said Heath Eric, Promoter with The Eric Group. “This is our 10th anniversary season, and we promised some big and exciting concerts. This one will undoubtedly be the largest Annual Labor Day Weekend ‘Jam at The DAM’ to date and the party of the summer concert season. It will be gettin’ ‘Hot in Here’ on Saturday, August 31. We expect this show to sell out and encourage fans to purchase tickets as soon as possible.”

Nelly’s career boasts 6 consecutive Top Ten albums, from the diamond “Country Grammar” (2000) to the platinum “5.0” (2010) and “The Fix” (2015), leading to warmly received collaborations in the 2020s.

Nelly and his mother moved to St. Louis when the rapper was 10. His locale influenced his rapping style, combining country and street and his dialect, a Southern drawl with some Midwestern twang. He happily embraced his country roots on the 2021 country-pop album “Heartland.”

Chingy, who single-handedly influenced cultural slang with “thurr” and “hurr” following the smash Billboard Hot 100 hit “Right Thurr,” achieved superstardom success with 7 other Hot 100 hits, including “Holidae In,” “One Call Away,” and many more.

Chingy achieved rapid mainstream success with the release of his triple-platinum RIAA-certified debut album “Jackpot” and knocked himself out of the No. 1 position with “Powerballin’,” his second platinum album.
