DCSO: 3 arrested after meth, cocaine, fentanyl found during Friday warrant execution

Three people are facing drug-related charges following the execution of a search warrant on Poindexter Street that resulted in the seizure of meth, cocaine, fentanyl, and other evidence Friday morning, according to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a release, members of the DCSO Special Investigations, General Investigations, K-9, and Patrol units executed a search warrant at approximately 7 a.m. in the 600 block of Poindexter Street. 

The investigation was initiated as a result of citizen complaints of a drug trafficking operation at the residence of Charles and Dakota Stewart, according to DCSO. 

DCSO reported that evidence seized included methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl (pills and patches), drug paraphernalia, digital scales, U.S. currency, synthetic marijuana, and suboxone pills. 

According to DCSO, also at the residence was April Maske, who was wanted out of Indiana on felony probation violation charges. 

All three subjects were arrested at the scene and transported to the Daviess County Detention Center on the following charges:

Dakota M. Stewart, age 24:
– Trafficking in a Controlled Substance — 1st Offense (Carfentanil or Fentanyl Derivatives)
– Drug Paraphernalia — Buy / Possess
– Possession Controlled Substance, 2nd Degree (Drug Unspecified)
– Possession of Controlled Substance, 1st Degree — 1st Offense (Cocaine)

Charles E. Stewart Jr., age 45:
– Possession of Controlled Substance, 1st Degree — 1st Offense (Methamphetamines)
– Drug Paraphernalia — Buy / Possess
– Possession of Synthetic Drugs — 1st Offense

April Sky Maske, age 25:
– Possession of Controlled Substance, 1st Degree — 1st Offense (Methamphetamines)
– Drug Paraphernalia — Buy / Possess
– Possession of Synthetic Drugs — 1st Offense
– Possession of Controlled Substances, 1st Degree — 1st Offense (Cocaine)
– Fugitive Warrant out of Indiana for Felony Probation

This is an ongoing investigation and additional charges are expected, according to DCSO.
