One person died following a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of US 60 East and US 231 near the William H. Natcher Bridge on Sunday afternoon, according to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Brad Youngman said a Lowe’s truck was northbound on US 231 when it collided with a pickup truck that was eastbound on US 60 in the intersection just before 3 p.m.
Youngman said the pickup truck’s driver, who was the sole occupant in the vehicle, was pronounced dead by the Daviess County Coroner’s Office, which will be conducting a death investigation. The occupants of the Lowe’s truck were uninjured.
Youngman said accident reconstructionists are investigating the circumstances leading up to the collision.
The roadway is expected to be open by approximately 5:45-6 p.m.
