Three juveniles are facing multiple counts of terroristic threatening for calls made to Planet Fitness and Domino’s Pizza over a 5-day period, according to the Owensboro Police Department. Authorities have confirmed they are the same three juveniles charged with falsely reporting homicides.

According to a release, OPD began receiving terroristic threatening complaints from Planet Fitness on Frederica Street on June 6, and they continued daily through June 10. Patrol officers responded each time to investigate.

Planet Fitness “received bomb threats, or threats that the caller would come to the business and shoot patrons,” the release says.

According to OPD, on June 9 Domino’s received a threat demanding that they pay $12,000 or the building would be blown up.

“Detectives with the Owensboro Police Department Criminal Investigations Division were able to definitively link these calls together,” the release says.

Detectives identified three male juveniles as suspects and all three were taken into custody and transported to the Owensboro Police Department for interviews on June 12.

The juveniles were subsequently transported to the Warren County Juvenile Detention Center.

Juvenile No. 1 and No. 2 were charged with:
• Terroristic threatening, 2nd degree (4 counts)
• Terroristic threatening, 3rd degree (3 counts)
• Harassing communications
• Theft by extortion over $10,000 (attempt)

Juvenile No. 3 was charged with complicity to each of the charges against the other two suspects. The third juvenile has also been previously charged with shoplifting three times and possession of marijuana once, according to OPD.

Anyone with additional information can call OPD at 270-687-8888, or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 270-687-8484.
