The Dugan Best Neighborhood Alliance is celebrating the Recreation Center’s 50 years of service during their annual Gala Day on Saturday. The event will include a blood drive, basketball, food, and more.
The celebration will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Dugan Best Park, 1003 Omega Street.
Activities will include:
- Blood Drive: The Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center’s Bloodmobile will be on site to accept blood donations.
- Community Engagement: Members of the Owensboro Fire Department will be present to interact with the community.
- 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament: A youth basketball tournament for ages 9 to 15 will begin at noon. No pre-registration is required.
- Family Fun: Enjoy free inflatables and participate in a prize drawing, featuring 10 bikes donated by the Masonic Pisgah Lodge No. 20, as well as a basketball goal and two basketballs donated by the Dugan Best Recreation Center.
- Free Food: Complimentary hamburgers, hot dogs, and cake will be available while supplies last.
