Update, 6 p.m. on August 29 — The man who was wanted for robbery and was considered armed and dangerous has been taken into custody, according to the Owensboro Police Department.
According to OPD, officers and detectives served a warrant and arrested James Graves, 34, at Motel 6 on Thursday evening. Graves is currently lodged at the Daviess County Detention Center on charges of first-degree robbery, parole violation, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and drug paraphernalia.

Police are asking for help regarding the whereabouts of a man who is considered armed and dangerous following a motel robbery Tuesday morning.
According to a release, at approximately 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, the Owensboro Police Department responded to a robbery complaint at the Budget Inn Motel.
“The victim stated to officers that he was sitting in his vehicle when two men approached him and held him at gunpoint while demanding money. The two perpetrators then fled the scene,” the release says.
Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division continued the investigation and have identified both suspects, OPD officials said.
Preston Blair, 23, was taken into custody by Emergency Response Team members in the 1700 block of McConnell Avenue, according to the release. Blair has been charged with first-degree robbery and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
OPD is still looking for the second suspect, who they identified as James Graves, 34. James is considered armed and dangerous. Officials say to not confront Graves and instead call 911.
