No one was injured in a Saturday evening structure fire that occurred at Stephen Farms in west Daviess County, according to authorities.

Daviess County Fire Department Chief Jeremy Smith said DCFD and other volunteer stations responded to a “large shop on fire” which was eventually been brought under control at approximately 7:40 p.m.

Smith said there were no injuries. He said there were some explosions due to propane and acetylene tanks, and the structure and equipment inside were heavily damaged.

Smith said the cause of the fire is under investigation but they do no suspect foul play.

The Airport-Sorgho, Mosleyville, St. Joseph, and Stanley volunteer stations all helped.

Stephen Farms is located on Hayden Bridge Road.
