Three juveniles have been arrested for multiple auto thefts and a burglary that occurred in July, according to the Owensboro Police Department.
According to a release, OPD patrol officers were able to identify suspects related to multiple cases and with the assistance of Criminal Investigations Division detectives, the juveniles were taken into custody on September 3.
“During the investigation, officers determined three cars that were stolen and a fourth that had the steering column damaged was connected,” the release reads.
According to OPD, all three juveniles were charged for their involvement in the auto thefts and for damages sustained during the attempted theft of the fourth car.
Two of the juveniles have also been implicated and charged with the burglary of Super A Food Mart that occurred on July 17. Those two juveniles face first-degree criminal mischief charges for returning to the Super A Food Mart on August 20 and “destroying the front door,” according to OPD.
The juveniles were lodged at Warren County Juvenile Detention Center following their arrests.
