In a concerted effort to enhance the coordination and effectiveness of treatment services within the community, the Daviess County Treatment Providers Board has launched bi-monthly meetings for local providers.

The Treatment Providers group is dedicated to providing high-quality mental health and substance misuse treatment services and support to individuals in need. The group’s mission is to foster a healthier, more resilient community through comprehensive care and collaborative efforts.

According to Board Chair Shawna Moore, the bi-monthly meeting initiative comes at the request of local judges “who have recognized the critical importance of collaborative efforts in addressing the needs of individuals undergoing treatment for mental health and substance misuse.”

“We are excited about the potential of these bi-monthly meetings to bring about significant positive changes in our community’s treatment landscape,” Moore said. “The judges’ request for these meetings underscores the vital role of collaboration in ensuring that individuals receive the comprehensive care they need to rebuild their lives.”

Moore said treatment providers from various disciplines will convene every other month to share insights, discuss best practices, and strategize on improving service delivery.

“These meetings will provide a platform for open dialogue and collaboration, ultimately leading to more comprehensive and cohesive care for individuals in treatment programs,” Moore said. “Treatment providers from all relevant fields are encouraged to attend and participate in this crucial initiative. Together, we can create a more integrated and effective treatment network that better serves the needs of our community.”

A release outlined the following five key objectives for the meetings:

Improved Coordination: Foster better communication and coordination among treatment providers to ensure seamless transitions and continuity of care for individuals.

Sharing Best Practices: Exchange knowledge and successful strategies to enhance the quality and effectiveness of treatment services.

Judicial Collaboration: Align treatment practices with judicial expectations and requirements to ensure that individuals receive the support they need to comply with court mandates and achieve positive outcomes.

Resource Optimization: Identify gaps in services and resources, and work collaboratively to address these challenges, maximizing the impact of available resources.

Outcome Monitoring: Establish metrics and evaluation criteria to monitor the outcomes of collaborative efforts and make data-driven decisions to improve treatment efficacy.
