Owensboro Community & Technical College will be open for registration this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., with officials saying many students will be able to apply and register on the same day.
Registration will be on the main campus in the Advanced Technology Center (ATC 107). The Financial Aid Office, Accessibility Services, and the OCTC Bookstore will also be open during these hours.
Classes begin on Monday.
“It really isn’t too late to get started this semester,” said Dr. Ashleigh Crowe, Vice President of Student Affairs. “Our staff are here and ready to help students through the process.”
Registration will remain open through January 15. Interested students may also apply online by visiting owensboro.kctcs.edu and selecting “APPLY,” or by visiting the main campus at 4800 New Hartford Road and going the START Center located in ATC 107. The START Center office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
OCTC is also hosting Pathfinder Day on Friday, January 10, for all new and returning students to learn about resources available on campus.
“This is the second time we have offered a Pathfinder Day in the spring so we hope our students will take advantage of this opportunity to learn their way around campus and get to meet some of their peers” Crowe said.
The event begins with check-in at 9:30 a.m. in the Industrial Innovation Center (IIC). Students can find their class locations, visit a resource fair, and get a student ID. Recommended access to the IIC is at the campus entrance across from Deer Park/WKU-O, and students should use the P4 parking lot.
