Theatre Workshop of Owensboro (TWO) has launched a search for its next executive director, following the recent announcement of Todd Reynolds’ upcoming retirement.
Reynolds served as executive director for the past decade, leaving behind a legacy of leadership and dedication to the arts in Owensboro. Read more on his decision to step down here.

Founded in 1955, TWO is a cornerstone of the Owensboro arts community, offering a variety of theatrical productions, educational outreach, and community programs. The organization operates two historic venues: Trinity Theatre, a restored gothic church that seats nearly 100, and the Empress Theatre, a former movie theater with a 200-seat capacity.
The executive director will oversee daily operations, manage staff and volunteers, and collaborate with the Board of Directors to advance the organization’s mission of inspiring and educating the community through the arts. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, budgeting, fundraising, marketing, and maintaining a visible leadership presence in the community and beyond.
The ideal candidate will have a background in nonprofit management, fundraising experience, and a strong commitment to community engagement. A bachelor’s degree and at least five years of senior management experience are preferred.
TWO’s programming includes a five-show mainstage season, youth productions, and special events like radio theater and cabaret nights. The organization also partners with local schools and community groups to provide educational opportunities and outreach programs.
