Kentucky Sound Stage and Rivercity Production Rentals have formed a new partnership aimed at strengthening the region’s production infrastructure for film, television, live events, and commercial work.

The companies are both known for providing professional-grade production support and announced the move Tuesday. The expansion will enhance camera, lighting, and grip rental services while also building out full-service crew support for productions of all sizes.

“Our goal has always been to provide world-class services right here in the heart of Western Kentucky,” said Kristi Kilday of Kentucky Sound Stage. “This expansion allows us to better serve our clients with the latest gear, experienced crews, and a level of service that’s unmatched in the region.”

The expansion includes additional camera packages, more lighting and grip equipment, and the development of a professional crew network to support both independent and major productions.

Jeremy Winton, also with Kentucky Sound Stage, said the new partnership creates a streamlined, one-stop solution for clients.

“Whether it’s a single-day shoot or a long-term project, we have the facilities, the gear, and the people to bring any creative vision to life,” he said.

Christopher Lee Herod, owner of Rivercity Production Rentals and a recent transplant to the area, emphasized the value of community collaboration.

“This is about more than just gear — it’s about building a creative community,” Herod said. “We’re not just renting equipment; we’re partnering with producers, directors, and creators to help make their projects successful from start to finish.”

The partnership positions Western Kentucky as an increasingly attractive destination for filmmakers, thanks in part to the state’s competitive film incentive program and the region’s diverse landscapes.
