Apollo picked up their second straight win, while McLean County fell on the road.
Apollo 4, Warren East 1
The Eagles scored two runs in the bottom of the six to hold off South Warren 4-1. Jagger Pate, Jackson Carder, and Ross Millburn all drove in runs, while Grayson Smith went 1-2 and scored a run. Ryleigh Logan started on the mound, allowing one earned run over 4 1/3 innings, striking out four. Carter Kimmel pitched in relief, throwing 2 2/3 shutout innings, striking out two.
Bowling Green 4, McLean County 1
The Cougars’ offense was never able to fully get going, losing to Bowling Green 4-1. Houston Whitaker, Jax Lee, and Ayden Rice combined for the team’s three hits, while Jaelin Groves drove in the Cougars’ lone run. Rice allowed two earned runs over four innings, while Corbin Martin allowed one earned run over two innings in relief.
