The Daviess County Delinquent Property Tax Sale is scheduled for August 14, 2025. On that date, any unpaid 2024 property tax bills will be eligible for purchase by registered third-party buyers.

The annual sale does not transfer ownership of a property. Instead, a lien is placed on the property through a certificate of delinquency filed with the Daviess County Clerk’s Office.

Once a bill is purchased at the tax sale, the taxpayer will be required to repay the third-party purchaser the full amount of the bill, along with any added interest and fees to release the lien.

To avoid being included in the sale, property owners must pay their outstanding bills in full by Monday, August 11. Payments can be made directly to the Clerk’s Office, located in Room 104 of the Daviess County Courthouse. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Accepted forms of payment include cash, cashier’s check, and debit or credit card (a convenience fee applies). Payment arrangements may also be made through the Daviess County Attorney’s Office by calling 270-685-8442, but full payment must still be completed by the August 11 deadline.

For more information or to inquire about the amount owed, contact the Daviess County Clerk’s Office at 270-685-8434, Ext. 3.

The current list of unpaid tax bills is available here. The list is expected to be updated weekly.
