Kentucky Wesleyan College will begin offering guaranteed admission to eligible high school students in Daviess and Hancock counties starting in fall 2026, the college announced Friday.

The new initiative is aimed at removing barriers to higher education and strengthening the institution’s ties to its surrounding community, officials said.

“This initiative reflects Kentucky Wesleyan’s commitment to our community,” said KWC President Dr. James Cousins. “It’s more than a promise — it’s a pathway to the same transformative educational experience the College has provided to generations of graduates from Daviess and Hancock counties.”

Qualified students who meet the academic requirements will be automatically granted admission. For more information on eligibility criteria, contact the Office of Admissions at [email protected] or by phone at 270-852-3120.

Officials said that once enrolled, students will experience what the college calls “The Wesleyan Way,” an educational philosophy rooted in honor, support, integrity, and Christ-like love.

“Local alumni know for a fact that choosing Kentucky Wesleyan means choosing a college that’s close enough to home to stay grounded, yet far-reaching enough to launch you wherever you want to go,” said Matthew Ruark, assistant vice president of enrollment management and a 2009 graduate.

KWC offers 29 majors and 13 pre-professional programs, along with NCAA Division II athletics.
