All Owensboro Public Schools employees will receive a 3% raise for the 2025-26 school year. The bump will be in addition to annual step increases for eligible staff.

The salary increases were approved Thursday during the OPS Board of Education meeting.

Board members did not comment on the raise during their unanimous approval, but Superintendent Wendy Duvall spoke after the meeting about the district’s financial commitment to the staff.

“We value our staff, and whenever we can honor them financially, we want to make sure that we do that,” Duvall said. “It was important to us to give that 3%, and we were able to do that with our SEEK funding that we’re getting from KDE, so I’m excited to be able to give that to them this year.”

This announcement comes after Daviess County Public Schools approved a similar 3% increase for their employees last week.
