Owensboro Catholic swept their double-header, while Hancock County and Owensboro both won.
Hancock County 51, Southern 19
Ansley House and Carolina Jones both had 10 points in the Lady Hornets’ 51-19 win over Southern. Izzy Ross added eight points, and Madyson Higdon and Jaylee Johnson both finished with six points.
Owensboro 53, Warren Central 36
Avery Martin hit two threes to go along with her team-high 21 points to power the Lady Devils past Warren Central 53-36. Unique Carter-Swannagan finished with 19 points and four steals, and Adrean Carothers had seven points and eight rebounds.
“I thought our pressure got to them and wore them down in the second half,” Owensboro Head Coach Wynn Harris said. “We held them to 15 points in the second half. We are starting to get more of a flow on offense, and I was very pleased with the team effort on defense.”
Owensboro Catholic 80, Indian Creek (Trafalgar), IN 57
Katie Hagan scored 12 of her 18 points in the second half to power the Lady Aces past Indian Creek 80-57. Layla Martin and Taylor Mannahan both had 16 points, and Claudia Munsey hit four threes to go along with her 14 points.
