CSX maintenance to cause temporary railroad crossing closures across Owensboro

CSX Transportation will begin railroad maintenance work across Owensboro today, with temporary closures expected at multiple crossings through April 23. Several major roadways will be impacted.

The project includes removing and replacing sections of track along the rail line that runs through the city. In total, 32 railroad crossings will be impacted.

Closures will occur intermittently as crews move through the city, and motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes and expect delays near railroad crossings during the project.
