Owensboro Community & Technical College is now accepting registrations for its 2026 Vibration Certification training programs, offering hands-on instruction in predictive maintenance and vibration analysis for workers across the region.

The courses, hosted by OCTC’s Workforce Solutions division, are open to participants at all experience levels and will be held at the college’s downtown campus at 1501 Frederica St. Each session runs from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The 2026 training schedule includes:

  • Category I – Vibration Certification: May 4-8 (36 hours); registration deadline April 6; cost $1,795
  • Level I – Balance Training: June 1-5 (40 hours); registration deadline May 4; cost $1,795
  • Category II – Vibration Certification: Nov. 9-14 (42 hours); registration deadline Oct. 5; cost $2,499

Each course requires a minimum of 10 participants. Kentucky companies may be eligible for funding assistance through the KCTCS-TRAINS program.

Participants will receive a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on training aimed at building practical skills in vibration analysis and equipment maintenance.

Courses will be led by Kevin R. Guy, a senior field analyst with Delaware Analysis Services and a certified Category IV vibration analyst with more than 44 years of experience. Guy has taught certification courses for more than three decades and has authored more than 80 publications on topics including rotor dynamics and turbomachinery.

He holds a degree in mechanical engineering technology from Purdue University and is a life member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
