As construction continues on Owensboro’s first Publix grocery store, the company is beginning the hiring process for approximately 140 positions ahead of its opening.
Publix will host an in-person hiring event Friday through Sunday as it seeks both full-time and part-time employees for its new Gateway Commons location.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown Owensboro/Waterfront, 401 West 2nd Street.
Publix is hiring for positions across all store departments, including bakery, deli, grocery, meat, seafood, and produce. Available jobs include stocking clerks, meat cutters, cake decorators, bakers, and deli associates.
Applicants are encouraged to complete an application before attending the hiring event through Publix Careers.
The company has not yet announced an opening date for the Gateway Commons store, but said that information will be released soon.
