The 68th annual Parade of Homes will return for two weekends this month, giving visitors a chance to tour 17 newly constructed homes across the region.
The Home Builders Association of Owensboro, doing business as the Green River Building Industry Association, will host the event July 18-19 and July 25-26. Featured homes are located throughout Daviess County, Henderson, Lewisport, and Tell City.
Visitors will be able to explore a variety of new homes and see current trends in home design, construction, technology, and craftsmanship.
“The Parade of Homes has been a tradition in our community for 68 years, but it continues to evolve with the way people live and what today’s homeowners are looking for,” said Adam Hicks, executive officer of the Home Builders Association of Owensboro.
Hicks added that the event is designed to showcase the work of local builders while also providing ideas for people considering their own construction or remodeling projects.
“With 17 homes spread throughout our region, this year’s Parade gives visitors a great opportunity to see the quality of work being done by our local builders and gather ideas for their own homes,” Hicks said.
The Parade of Homes is open to anyone interested in building, buying, remodeling, or exploring newly constructed homes. Attendees can tour homes at their own pace and select which locations they want to visit.
For nearly seven decades, the event has connected area residents with local builders, contractors, suppliers, and other professionals in the residential construction industry.
The complete Parade of Homes guide, including photographs, maps, home details, and builder information, is featured in the June/July edition of Owensboro Living magazine. More information is available at GreenRiverParadeOfHomes.com.
