After thousands of votes from the community, the results are in for the 2026 Owensboro Times Food Truck Awards, recognizing some of the area’s favorite mobile food businesses.
This year’s winners are:
- Food Truck of the Year: J’s Good Grub
- Dessert Truck of the Year: BooGi Bliss
- Drink Truck of the Year: The Mock Dock
The awards were presented Tuesday morning at Vass Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, the presenting sponsor of this year’s contest, where the winning owners gathered to celebrate alongside representatives from Owensboro Times and Vass.
For Jay and Antoinette Johnson, owners of J’s Good Grub, the award represents years of hard work and a commitment to keeping customers excited about what’s coming next.
“To everyone who took the time to vote for us, thank you,” Jay Johnson said. “We work hard every day to serve great food, and knowing the community appreciates that means everything to our family.”
The Johnsons have built a following by constantly changing locations, introducing new menu items and keeping customers guessing about what’s next.
“One thing people have learned about us is you never know where we’ll be next or what we’ll come up with next,” Antoinette Johnson said. “We love keeping things fun, trying new ideas and giving people a reason to come back. We’re so thankful for everyone who’s supported us along the way.”
BooGi Bliss owner Sheila Royal said receiving Dessert Truck of the Year is a reflection of the support she’s received from customers throughout the community.
She said the award belongs just as much to the people who have continued to support her business as it does to her team.
“We’re incredibly thankful for everyone who voted and for every customer who’s supported us along the way,” Royal said. “This award is something we’ll proudly celebrate with our community.”
The Mock Dock owners Andrea Hall and Lisa Spicer said they were honored to earn Drink Truck of the Year after another successful season serving customers throughout the area.
The pair said community support has been instrumental in helping the business continue to grow.
“This has been such a fun journey for us, and we’re grateful to everyone who voted,” Hall and Spicer said. “We can’t wait to continue serving Owensboro with new drinks and new experiences.”
Amber Beehn of Vass Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram said the dealership was proud to once again partner with Owensboro Times in recognizing local businesses that have become staples in the community.
She said supporting small businesses aligns with Vass’s commitment to giving back to the communities it serves.
“These food truck owners are an important part of our local business community, and we’re proud to help recognize the hard work and dedication they’ve put into building something people truly enjoy,” Beehn said. “Congratulations to all three winners, and thank you to everyone who participated by voting.”
The annual Owensboro Times Food Truck Awards celebrate locally owned food trucks while giving readers an opportunity to recognize their favorites. This year’s winners represent three businesses that have earned strong community support through quality food, creativity and outstanding customer service.
Owensboro Times congratulates J’s Good Grub, BooGi Bliss and The Mock Dock on being named the 2026 Food Truck Award winners and thanks the community for making this year’s contest another success.
