COVID-19 update: 7 deaths, 143 cases, 116 recoveries reported for district

A total of 143 more cases of COVID-19 and 116 recoveries were announced Tuesday for the Green River District, including 89 cases and 56 recoveries in Daviess County. Three coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Daviess County, two in McLean County, one in Ohio County and one in Union County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (89), Hancock (4), Henderson (7), McLean (5), Ohio (30), Union (1), Webster (7)
  • New recoveries by county: Davies (56), Hancock (12), Henderson (19), McLean (4), Ohio (17), Union (2), Webster (6)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 16,025
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 11,822 (74%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 53
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 713 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 272

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 7,215 cases, 5,350 recovered, 24 current hospitalizations, 272 ever hospitalized, 123 deaths
  • Hancock County – 607 cases, 431 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 20 ever hospitalized, 13 deaths
  • Henderson County – 3,564 cases, 2,618 recovered, 13 current hospitalizations, 179 ever hospitalized, 52 deaths
  • McLean County – 679 cases, 503 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 43 ever hospitalized, 25 deaths
  • Ohio County – 1,957 cases, 1,405 recovered, 7 current hospitalizations, 98 ever hospitalized, 35 deaths
  • Union County – 1,053 cases, 851 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 52 ever hospitalized, 10 deaths
  • Webster County – 950 cases, 664 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 49 ever hospitalized, 14 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45.4%
  • Female: 54.6%

  • <1 — 66 cases
  • 1-11 — 536 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,322 cases
  • 20-29 — 2,631 cases
  • 30-39 — 2,509 cases
  • 40-49 — 2,460 cases
  • 50-59 — 2,279 cases
  • 60-69 — 1,993 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,289 cases
  • 80+ — 940 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
