Angela “Rose” Whitaker, 82 of Hartford, KY passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Signature Heath Care in Hartford. She was born February 6, 1936 to the late Charles and Ruby Payne. Rose was of the Catholic faith. She was a homemaker and also a child caregiver for several years. Rose loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; especially her youngest great-grandchild, Brently.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Whitaker; her sister, Regina Jarboe.
Survivors include her 2 daughters, Sharon Hipps (Walter) of Fordsville, KY and Diane Goetz (Randy) of Owensboro; her grandchildren, Jenny Casteel (Rodney) of Hartford, KY, Dana Hayse of Hartford, David Glenn, Jr. of Owensboro, and Ben Goetz of Owensboro; her sisters, Martha Lydanne of Nashville, TN, Joan Gibson of Henderson, KY, Linda Farley, Cathy Rohrer, and Debbie Crabtree all of Owensboro; her brothers, Charlie and David Payne of Owensboro; her 8 great- grandchildren.
The service will be 2pm Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Fr. Richard Cash will officiate. The entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
